On Monday this week, the Hong Kong University Grants Committee (UGC) announced the results of the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2020.

We are looking to compile a statistics-driven report into attitudes, circumstances, trends and the effects of the pandemic around impact. With this information we will produce a report to summarise the findings and help paint a wider picture.

Gary Fairclough has been an Impact Officer at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) since December 2017, working as part of an impact team across the institution.

In general we can say that research impact is the demonstrable change or benefits to the wider society, economy or the environment that arises through research.
