AI use and providers are assessed and reviewed as they evolve.
Impact information is often scattered across documents, spreadsheets and systems, making it time-consuming to assemble, interpret and report consistently. AI creates an opportunity to reduce this burden and make specialist impact reporting more accessible.
At Hivve, we use AI to support people in working with their evidence, identifying gaps and developing clearer accounts of change. Combined with a structured approach to impact, this can support better-informed decisions about where to focus effort and resources.
Meaningful work becomes clear, credible evidence of change.
Funders and organisations understand what works and where support is needed.
Funding and support reach the people, projects and ideas making a difference.
Successful initiatives grow, creating more impact to capture, learn from and build upon.
General-purpose AI tools can help analyse information and draft reports. Hivve brings something additional: specialist impact expertise, established methodologies, a purpose-built impact taxonomy and technology designed around the workflows of impact evidence and reporting.
Developed through years of work with research institutions, funders and impact organisations, our approach provides a structured foundation for working with impact evidence, developing high quality reports in minutes rather than days, and supporting consistency across teams.
Organisations can build on this specialist capability alongside their existing AI investments, without needing to design and maintain the full methodology and reporting workflow themselves.
Use specialist impact frameworks and taxonomy to guide how evidence is organised and interpreted, helping teams develop a more consistent understanding of the change their work contributes to.
Generate evidence-informed working drafts using relevant reporting structures, with feedback on gaps and recommendations for strengthening the account. People remain responsible for reviewing, verifying and approving final content.
Consistently structured evidence lays the foundation for identifying patterns and learning across projects, programmes and portfolios, capabilities we are actively developing as part of Hivve’s product roadmap.
AI should help people work more effectively with evidence, not replace expert judgement. Our approach is guided by clear commitments to human oversight, data protection and accountable use.
Reports, analysis and recommendations are draft or advisory material for user review. Users assess accuracy, relevance and suitability. AI used in Hivve advisory services is reviewed by appropriately qualified people before client-facing use.
AI helps organise information, develop working narratives, identify evidence gaps and suggest further investigation. Users review and validate generated outputs before use; AI does not independently establish that impact occurred.
AI processing uses logically isolated, controlled workspaces segregated from live production systems. Client information is not entered into public or consumer AI tools; external connections are restricted to authorised services.
Hivve does not permit such information to be used to train, fine-tune, benchmark, optimise or improve public or third-party models. Providers must meet requirements for confidentiality, security, retention, deletion and data reuse.
Appropriate access controls and safeguards apply; information is anonymised or pseudonymised where feasible. Temporary AI workspaces are deleted after authorised processing, subject to approved retention requirements.
Assessment includes processing locations, retention/deletion, data-use terms and contractual protections. Controls include encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access and workspace segregation.
We aim to explain where AI is used, its role and how information is protected. Governance and controls are reviewed as technologies, providers, legal requirements and client expectations change.
We recognise that institutions need clear information about how their data is processed and protected before adopting AI-enabled services. Hivve applies access controls, encryption, appropriate data-handling practices and provider assessment to its AI-supported services.
Role-based permissions and least-privilege access to client information.
Encryption and appropriate data-handling practices across AI-supported services.

No. Hivve does not permit client data, prompts, files or outputs to be used to train, fine-tune, benchmark or optimise public or third-party AI models. See our Responsible AI Statement for the full commitment.
AI-generated content is a working output for human review. Users should verify factual claims and supporting evidence before relying on or sharing reports. Hivve’s approach is designed to work from supplied evidence and highlight areas that need further attention.
Processing and hosting arrangements depend on the service and agreed configuration. We can provide relevant details to authorised reviewers as part of due diligence.
